Random Scenarios
Scenarios with randomly generated triplets are useful for testing purposes. Two procedures are available:
-
The Fill Random procedure gives the user, by means of the context menu, some control over the scenario to be created.
-
The Autofill procedure creates a large, fully automatic scenario suitable for prolonged, comprehensive tuner tests.
Fill Random
The Fill Random procedure inserts, at a selected position of an existing sequence, a predefined count of random triplets, with values between zero and maximum stub insertion. Optionally, these two extreme insertions can be injected regularly into this sequence.
To generate a scenario, proceed as follows:
-
If the scenario table is not empty, select the row before which the new random sequence should appear. If you want a new table, click the button instead.
-
In the context menu (right-click the scenario table to open it), click Count to define how many triplets should be generated.
-
If you want the stubs to move synchronously (i.e., to have the same insertions), check Synchro in the context menu.
-
If you want to add zero insertions and/or maximum insertions periodically, then, in the context menu:
-
Check either Add Zero Positions or Add Max Positions or both.
-
Click Adding Period and enter the adding periodicity.
-
Click the button, or right-click the table and click the Fill Random menu item.
-
Each new button click adds a new series of triplets.
The Autofill procedure, accessible from the context menu, clears the active scenario table and fills it with a very large random scenario fully automatically. All three tuning stubs have the same insertions. Zero insertions and maximum insertions are added periodically. Autofill is equivalent to the Fill Random with the following settings:
Count = 2048
Synchro = TRUE
Add Zero Positions = TRUE
Add Max Positions = TRUE
Adding Period = 50
